(1190 Cornell St, Abbotsford, BC)

People around the world are hungry… and you can help!

Each baked good sold at the Festival this year raises money for vulnerable and displaced families in need of food.

How you can help

1. Decide what you’re going to bake.

Not sure what to bake? Here are some Mennonite favourites: zwieback, perischky, cookies (peppermint, oatmeal, chocolate chip), muffins, loaves, homemade bread and buns.

*Please do not bring any custard, cream items, or any dairy toppings, as we do not have a cooler.

2. Bake at home or in a church kitchen.

3. Portion out your baked goods.

Portion the goodies in quantities that make the most sense for what you’re making (e.g., one dozen, half dozen, loaf, etc.)

4. Package your baked goods.

Please use one or more of the following: Ziploc bags, twist-tied bags, new disposable trays, clear plastic wrap.

5. Label each package with the name of the item and the full list of ingredients.

Label templates are available for download here or at MCC Centre on the 2nd Floor (201-33933 Gladys Avenue, Abbotsford, BC V2S 2E8). It works best to print the labels onto Avery 5159 label sheets (14 labels per sheet).

Why include labels? Labels help people with allergies know if they can safely eat the baked goods. Plus, this helps the MCC Festival for World Relief follow Fraser Health regulations for hosting an event.

6. Drop off baked goods at the MCC Festival.

Please bring your baked goods between 12:00 -5:00 PM, Friday, September 13, 2024.
